another shot from the Olympics after a 1 hour drive on old logging roads (now National Park roads!), 8 miles hiking, and just starting to get a glimpse of the second highest peak in the range

same, but feels like it's building up for the next wave longer-term applications take significantly longer to materialize, tho they feel immediate at the tipping point 1. new unlock -> immediate spike in interest, lots of short-term experiments 2. short term experiments fizzle out, low hanging fruit explored 3. long term applications start to appear, steadier growth think we're between 2 and 3 right now for tipping and frames, but I'm not sure what their 3s look like (ponder is a good example of 3 for poll frames)

1. heard from an ergo consultant that monitor arm was almost more important- want to make sure you can easily move the monitor to prioritize good posture rather than slumping/clenching/etc (similar case for standing desks) 2. went through a ton and ended up with HM's Aeron. had it for 5 years and it's incredible. there's a DWR Outlet in LA where you should be able to get them for a decent discount, but definitely check out customizing online. Also try out different sizes, I'm a size C and it makes a large impact on posture 3. love my printer 😰 I think Brother makes the best/cheapest printers for black/white printing and you basically never have to replace the toner so there's no hidden "subscription" also happy to dive deeper into any of these! I ended up spending a ton of time on my home setup

Same, especially for drones I would have unfortunately expected them to be used for worse things, given their ubiquity and ease of use. I assume there’s some factor I’m missing, but haven’t found an explanation yet (Also recognize my US-centric take- they’re used in active warzones today, but that makes the question even more confusing)

is there a home improvement channel yet? today I experienced the joy of replacing a furnace filter and learning that 1. the advertised size is not the actual size 2. the actual size is all that matters 3. no two companies make the same size 4. some larger advertised size actual sizes fit smaller advertised sizes 😵‍💫

seems reasonable to collapse casts with just `X $[token]` replies - they're already effectively emergent behavior making up for no tipping button can show the tipped token's icon and amount like how reddit awards used to work. really cool to see little bleu elephants or purple top hats underneath deeper cast integration also ties into the greater crypto ecosystem while maybe encouraging more community tokens also a collapsed tipping space could be a tappable place to allow more direct tipping interactions or showing who tipped what so the intent of the tipping casts is still visible
