Ethereum Spot ETFs See $152M in Outflows on Day 3, Grayscale ETHE Bleeds $346M US-based spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced mixed flows on their third day of trading, mainly due to significant outflows from Grayscale’s Ethereum Trust. Seven of the eight newly launched spot Ether ETFs saw $152m in combined outflows on day three, according to SoSoValue data. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF and Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust were the top performers, attracting $70.93 million and $28.09 million, respectively. Following behind, the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH) and Bitwise’s Ethereum ETF (ETHW) attracted net inflows of $34.32m and $16.34m respectively.

New Jersey Senator and Bitcoin skeptic Bob Menendez was found guilty on all 16 counts tied to his federal corruption trial on Tuesday that saw him accused of accepting bribes and working as a foreign agent. Menendez Trial Ends, U.S. Senator Facing Lengthy Prison Sentence The damning verdict was reportedly decided by the 12-panel jury and delivered just three days after closing arguments in the case wrapped up. “I am deeply, deeply disappointed by the jury’s decision,” Menedez told reporters in a statement outside Manhattan federal courthouse shortly after learning his fate. “I have every faith that the law and the facts did not sustain that decision and that we will be successful upon appeal. I have never violated my public oath.” However, such success could very well elude the now convicted Democratic politician, with less than 1% of federal criminal defendants acquitted in 2022.

UK’s New Economic Secretary Faces Scrutiny Over Potential ‘Crypto Crackdown’ Following the recent landslide election which saw the UK Labour Party win, Prime Minister Keir Starmer has begun appointing members to the new government. Among the appointments is Member of Parliament Tulip Siddiq, who has been assigned the role of Economic Secretary to the Treasury and City Minister. The appointment places Siddiq in a position of influence over policies concerning the regulation of digital assets and central bank digital currencies in the UK. However, her previous statements suggesting a potential “crypto crackdown” have drawn scrutiny.

Paris Match, a French magazine, is auctioning 75 iconic archival photos as Ethereum (ETH) non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to celebrate its 75th anniversary. The auction kicked off on June 17 and showcased a curated selection of historic images from Paris Match’s archives. These include snapshots of entertainment icons like The Rolling Stones, Jack Nicholson, Orson Welles, and John Travolta. Images of significant historical moments such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and scenes from Harlem and the Tour de France are also included.

What is Pudgy Penguins NFT collection? The Pudgy Penguins brand was launched in July 2021 by four college friends who decided to ride the wave of NFT popularity. ColeThereum created 8,888 NFTs of Pudgy Penguins, with a price of about $0.03 each. The collection sold out in 20 minutes at $90 apiece, bringing its creators over $800,000. Pudgy Penguins were recognizable compared to other popular NFT collections at the time, whose avatars were usually pixelated or trying to follow new trends. Instead, Pudgy Penguins featured bright colors, tiny beaks, and round faces. The first Pudgy Penguins collection was so successful that shortly after its debut, the creators released a new collection, Lil Pudgy’s, consisting of 22,222 images of smaller versions of the original penguins.
