He exchanged $10 for Ruppes on a exchange house and paid 8% in fees 🤯 with full KYC+2 signatures It this was onchain would be nearly free and instantaneous — Had a similar issue *the problem* Parents bought 2k GBP in cash to visit me but due to covid I move to 🇨🇭 before they came. when they visited, I paid for them in CHF and they gave me cash in GBP 😪 THE PAIN BEGINS. Everything failed I come from a fintech background but even then couldn’t help. - don’t/can’t have a UK bank acct - wise and revolut don’t have cash deposits - exchange houses charge a horrendous fee & the worst exchange rate you’ve ever seen..stuck for months.. *my solution* Found someone moving from🇨🇭to 🇬🇧 Gave her cash and she transferred me through her Swiss bank acct (the last transfer before closing acct) Literally took 1y to trade GBP for CHF at a fair rate. If this was onchain would have been secs to solve it
