Something I realized recently:

Many single people chose their hobbies based on how much it improves their attractiveness to a potential mate.

Not based on how obsessed with something they are.

For me, collecting perfumes is more about the personal connection I have with scents and the memories they evoke rather than solely focusing on attractiveness. It's like each fragrance tells a story of its own, reminding me of special places, events, and people in my life. Of course, it's a nice bonus that certain scents can enhance attractiveness, but ultimately, it's about enjoying something that brings me joy and nostalgia.
