Studying lesser-used formal languages for programming. While most modern languages exhibit cross pollination from many formal languages, some are less used/not central to the design. Two particular favorites are communicating sequential processes and constraint logic programming

@cassie I *love* this topic! I have been playing around with lots of languages to varying extents this year. I started learning Common Lisp and I love it. I have also tried Go (JSON isn't very nice to play with but it's been great), Prolog, and more.

I'm more than happy to chat about this topic (message me on Telegram if you'd ever like to chat in depth)! Exploring other languages opened my eyes to many different ways of thinking about how I interact with a computer as a programmer.
