The regulatory moat gotta be established. This is the guy who scans eyeballs of people who don't know what they're giving up in return for $50 in a country where $50 actually matters. respect to Sam and what he has accomplished in bringing AI into this new age in a very real way. but monopoly in the name of “safety” gives me the same ick SBF gave me. i can’t shake the opportunistic, self-interested vibes. beyond an endorsement from PG, what has he done to earn our respect and admiration?

This is not only stupid but scary & dangerous as well. For one, how do you enforce such a regulation? Forbid people from buying GPUs? Monitor what ppl are doing on AWS?
