Always have been 🫑 I was the weird kid in elementary school that carried a pocket constitution. I loved cryptography puzzles, came up with (bad) ciphers as a kid, realized it was our greatest tool for checking power, and kept at it. No tragic childhood backstory, my parents were great and are still supportive.

Only child, moved to the US when I was 8, grew up pretty poor, both of my parents worked, lucky enough to have a computer growing up, always into math/science, was a scene kid in high school (learned to code making MySpace themes), and ADHD + a general mistrust of authority.

As a child I got obsessed with learning HTML on Neopets as a form of escapism from my imploding family structure while developing an insecurity of wanting to be liked because my younger brother (rightfully) needed all the attention as he had a procedure that left him with permanent brain damage.
