the q in qDAU is much lower now than a few weeks ago. feeling lost because what happened with the large percentage of builders from the start who build that foundation couldn't sustain the q as growth accelerated while building.

It’s going to look different from here on, that’s for sure. It will take intentionality on the part of a community to recapture the ethos of the early days, and that’s okay.

influx of users → new tooling developed to moderate larger communities → large communities on X/Discord/Reddit/Telegram take note → said large communities start to move to farcaster → more development of clients & tools for niche & global use cases feels like the start of a self sustaining growth cycle /1

where are transparency maxis? onchain data this, decentralization that, when the team re-points towards a different North star (drop the q in qDAU) is it best to shut up and cheer? Snapshot below shows "213 users online". This metric is public and independently calculated. It's good. Higher than it used to be.

Before this week Farcaster had a small group of high reputation users Now there's more low reputation users Bimodal distribution Builders adjust accordingly
