Not quite the same imo

Plugins have historically not been designed with an explicit off-ramping of users away from the core platform they're attached to, but the permissionless user graph and the cast action functionality (assuming that we build an open cast action spec too) makes that design space feasible now

An easy-to-adapt quasi-client framework would likely also make it easy to test and iterate new ideas very rapidly—potentially accelerating market discovery quite dramatically
