the community of Farcaster rn is one of its biggest differentiators — tho it has a palpable web3 bent that badly needs to broaden if its goal is in fact to be something that appeals to more people…

Appreciate your time and thoughts 🫡 I believe @dwr.eth and @v have publicly talked about how their Farcaster (or at least Warpcast) growth strategy is to become something like the discussion layer of Eth and is ultimately an explicit bet on the Ethereum ecosystem so maybe that isn't a brand weakness...

ya! admittedly i haven’t immersed myself in the complexity of it all whatsoever. but i like what they’re doing & they should be proud of what they’ve built thus far a simpler take would be tackling the brand architecture of Farcaster v. Warpcast…

names feel a lil bit like inside baseball that might burden new customers w.unnecessary cognitive load, but not insurmountably so when a brand leans too heavily on concepts that tend 2 resonate more w. the privileged elites vs. the common people, it can be a turnoff for those that feel increasingly mistrusting of tech
