Not a diehard doors fan, but read the chat and think it’s important to point out that it’s to appreciate music in its temporal context Skill competition means a YT channel with “mediocre” musicianship today is probably top decile guitar/whatever skill even just 20 years ago In the Doors case, they really were innovative in 1965, but obv feels less so now

I’m judging them compared to their peers. But it’s okay if other people still like them. I didn’t realize The Doors had such ardent supporters. They were very cool quite high people, who wrote a handful of timeless songs. But not as many as the Bee Gees, for example.
