imo, early stage startups should send succinct investor updates. 

Feels like most either send updates that are too long (with too much formatting) or don't send them at all.

It’s true but goes against your natural instinct. Less might be more but sometimes you feel a need to show how quickly you’re moving or how hard you’re working thus the need for detailed memos.

It’s clear to readers when you’re compensating. Strong, consistently improving metrics tell most of the story.
