every time I visit an art exhibition or museum, i try to find at least one inspiration to bring back to my own art practice. i found such a "souvenir" in an oil painting by the famous French impressionist Claude Monet, during one of my joyful visits to the iconic Getty Center in Los Angeles.

as I stood intimately close to the painting, these golden reflections felt home-like. they reminded me of the countless times I watched the sun setting over the Pacific on the California coast. i longed to make it a part of my love letters. thinking of the how, I took this shot:
