9 Dogville Dogville is a process of awakening evil and anger. Some angles seem to be the dialectical opposition of A Short Film About Murder. One believes that the murderer is also an ordinary person, while the other points out that ordinary people are potential murderers. Dogs obey the nature of animals, while humans will be infinitely partial to animality under the cloak of hypocrisy, swinging from lawful good to lawful evil, and always firmly believe that they are "lawful". Everyone should sweep the snow in front of their own door, so why should they care about others' snow? The most clever point of Dogville is the dialogue between Grace and her father: when you look at others with the moral standards standing on the commanding heights, you are arrogant; just as you cannot tolerate yourself committing evil deeds against others, when you tolerate others' evil deeds against you, it is the usurpation and arrogance of the high-moral people to the low-moral people.
