Hi @burrrrrberry i respect you and hope you are well. Perhaps there are nefarious deeds im not privy to, but ive witnessed @maretus quietly help some of the most desperate community members here in big ways to feel included and supported when he had zero to gain from it and also I've never felt preyed upon. i felt inclined to say something since I've learned a great deal in success and trade group (both paid for themselves in info and prizes!) and have also been pleasantly surprised to find it to be a smart and healthy corner of warpcast with uncommon intellect and kindness on display in equal parts at any given time. I understand maybe I don't see what you see but we can all disagree and still be civil. The increasingly uncommon ability to still be civil to each other is one of the best aspects of warpcast imo.

I don’t really have skin in this game but my impression is that if you want to be a bit “degen” ahem the thing we all praise on Warpcast, the group chat is a good place to be. Look at many of the SOLfluencers hiding behind avatars— the over excited posts designed to trick folks into buying. That’s not what maretus is doing…it’s well thought out trades. A lot of smart people in this chat wouldn’t be the case if he was as you say. Doxxed+doxxed wallets. We have folks who read blockchain well and would have seen if he was actually dumping on anyone. Tl;dr understand there is personal beef, but the trading group at least from a top down view is now scummy. Lots of decent people on there supporting one another through ups and downs AND making money. End of day losing trades is on the individual that doesn’t click sell.

you clearly live in a different reality, and I am sure you reality feels as true as mine. My reality with @maretus and some of his closed friends is the opposite. I have even witnessed moments where I was nudged to take profits before he'd do bc all his copy traders on interface would instantly nuke the chart. Is he a saint? Nope, and he never pretends. Does he behave decently in my presence? Yell yes! Lesson in there (?)

I have no opinion on Maretus. Maybe his channel was useful for some people, but not for everyone. Unfortunately, paid channels are the worst thing on Farcaster. To some extent, the lack of transparency on Farcaster has fueled this issue, and people try to climb up by associating with prominent figures at any cost. And for what? Nothing. In the early months of Degen, this was a major and critical issue, and regular users were heavily exploited. So many worthless NFTs and other junk were dumped on people while those behind it lifted themselves up and became some of the biggest Degen farmers. In the end, they dumped everything, and the real holders and non-farmer users took the hit. This cycle will keep repeating until collective wisdom shifts toward not inflating people artificially.
