Walked into the gym today and there was a guy standing inches away from the mirror just staring at himself. We got to our bench, he walks over to the bench next to us, sits down, faces us and starts staring at us. 1. Does this happen often? 2. What & when are you supposed to do something? 3. Am I gonna get murdered?

I hate encountering other people at the gym I do my best to avoid everyone Your encounter sounds creepy, but I doubt you will be killed. My guess is he was working up the courage to speak to you, but is sadly too socially inept and ended up scaring you away. You handled it as well as you possible imo, need a shotgun
