The single most useful thing you can do to help Farcaster grow is cast 1 thing a day in a channel. Especially non-crypto related. A link to a blog post in /engineering A song you think /electronic would find interesting. A long cast about your preferences for Japanese knives in /food.

This is generally how I use Farcaster because I enjoy the communities. But seeing it framed as “to help Farcaster grow” brings up feelings of: well I’m contributing content but what am I getting out of it? Followers that I plan to monetize? Not really my style. Neither is adding value for free. Not asking for a solution, just perspective, because I know monetizing is the end game. But what’s in it for people like me who don’t care to do that? Lack of incentive demotivates me from posting more because I end up feeling like it’s pointless. I don’t use social media much otherwise either so I don’t get the highs from likes and engagement. I get that as Farcaster grows, more opportunities blah blah blah. But I’m putting my personal life out here and as a private person it doesn’t always feel worth it. I guess social media just isn’t for me. 😅

Since you're seeking a perception shift I offer this. We are entering a new world where social capital does and will matter. When you add value to a platform like Warpcast, you're also adding value to yourself. Social scores are not going away anytime soon. Social media is dying, Social networking is evolving. Once I shifted to this perspective, it became clear that my goals and the goals of the platform were aligned, as they always should have been 🫡
