'Respecting the limits of human time and attention' and 'built-in ways to reduce  cognitive burdens and attention labor for writers' is a powerful combo that will unlock so much freedom and possibility for writers.

Excited to envision and build the tools and workflows for that to happen within the slowcore context.

The big social media apps toyed w the idea of hiding likes, views and other vanity metrics but didn’t follow through.

I wonder how we could capture the nurture metrics slowcore needs to thrive? For instance, number of thought-provoking conversations in the comments or awe induced in the reader?

Definitely a powerful combo, and an underexplored design space. I still see a lot of focus on metrics (e.g., follower counts) that don't work well for purposes of cultivating slowcore value.

I think a lot about the power of limits and labor-reduction in relation to value flows.
