what surprised me the most about berlin is: - as a leading tech hub in europe - many restaurants and shops only accept cash - citing high tax as a major reason - most don't know about alternative payment rail - except the chinese restaurant that took my wechat pay why hasn't there been major disruption??

I’ve lived here for 8 years and one of the reasons for sure is that they value privacy. A lot to do with the hangover from East Germany oppression before the wall came down.
