An observation now that I’m in a few DAOs and channels: compared to a startup, it’s unclear what the priorities are and how progress is being made against those priorities. Maybe that’s not the point, but strong believer in you are what you measure.

I hesitate to project my experience with a few organization types onto the full possibility space of human organization. I think DAOs can successfully shapeshift to the whims of active members—which spans the space of personality types. After all, you are writing about contentiousness here, correct?

There are existential needs though. Some degree of growth—though not as urgent as a startup. Some degree of activity, though again not as critical as most organizations we are used to. Perhaps this amorphous entity is suited to become what it needs when it needs it.
