Exactly. The idea is to build a web2-web3 bridge. Receipts are minted on chain, viewable in Metamask etc, but also via a web2 login for people who don’t have a wallet. 

From a brand perspective it gives you a permanent link with the customer for giveaways, servicing etc.

Could be great but I'm assuming much more infrastructure needs to be brought out, like a quick and easy mass-adopted web3 wallet (Argent might be a candidate). Similarly, starknet or other zk-rollup L2s probably need to develop their ecosystem more. Would be interested in seeing this for giveaways too!

An on chain record that verifies you bought the item - but only when you want it to, eg when you sell it. 

Privacy is required because most people won’t want others to see what they’ve bought.

What do you mean by receipt?

A digitized 🧾 that shows everyone what you bought?
