i've been begging @br1an.eth to implement token-gating for months. this would take a competent mid-level engineer about half a day to ship, but for brian, 1-2 weeks (so i understand his hesitation). tho making simple calls to an nft contract onchain is a bit over his head, i will nonetheless keep working on him 🫡

anyone who suggests we token-gate fundamentally doesn't understand live-streaming and how difficult it is to get people to show up at a specific time. adding additional constraints to entry is mid IQ.

no u dont. you believe in whatever will give unlonely pmf (as you should). if you weren't so stubborn and mid you'd realize this is in fact a good idea and would lead to 1) an increase in usage and, 2) meaningful product differentiation compared to web2 alternatives. alas, the market will teach you the hard way
