I want to play Civ for the first time ever while on Holiday Break

Lmao bro we are on the same wavelength. Downloaded it 2 days ago and have been playing / studying the game.

Some high level things you can research across games: 
- Playing tall vs playing wide 
- The importance of population and science 
- Range units = best units 
- Finding optimal units based on the time period

Can't play it anymore, AI is too dumb and when you put it at the max level it doesn't get smarter, it just starts cheating which makes me not want to play it.

Hopefully they'll improve the AI a lot in the next game
