Why do none of the AI that generator do a bunch of stuff for you? Ask a bunch of clarifying questions to give you a better answer? This has been in my head for months, maybe even a year. I don’t think I’ve seen a single AI product that does this

It’s rare but some of them do this. o1 has asked me things before It’d be cool if agent systems that run constantly would text you when they need more info or guidance. Implementing that seems v simple

Perplexity is the closest to this UX in my opinion I often put in my prompts to Claude or GPT “ask me any and all follow up questions that can help you give me a better answer” Seems to work well

This happens in cursor when using agent mode It will detect lint errors from code it changes and fix that too

as part of my perma-prompt i make gpt include 3 follow up questions every time then i just say answer 1 & 3 or whatever
