Because crypto seems like the natural evolution of payment systems, like a technology teleported from the future. Any discussion about whether crypto has a future is like arguing whether vehicles for air, land, and water have a future. If there is a civilization, there will be crypto. The alternative is nomadism and foraging, hiding from bears in caves :)
