discourse around DUNA seems to be focused around the downsides (added KYC requirement to grantees)

imo DUNA's massive upsides are:
- reducing tax risk
- providing limited legal liability to members

while still allowing:
- members to remain anonymous (privacy)
- explicit voting rights to members

if there are other avenues to achieve the above without any compromises then that would be wonderful, but as far as i know at the moment DUNA is unique in offering the above properties with limited compromises (paying taxes in the US, KYC req for grantees).

Maybe this has been said in the discussion somewhere else but is there any web3 entity/dao of note using DUNA or would Nouns be pioneering the use for this type of org?

Nice, Leo. I would suggest posting and/or responding in the Nouns channel. Noun40 and seneca are the two most visible people on the Nouns foundation that are dealing with this. The rest of the Nouns community--some are engaged in the discussion as well--nounishprof (a lawyer) comes to mind. There are others. I think you'll see occasional post like this one from Noun40 and seneca in particular that you could engage with. Nouns folk are respectful and interested in other thoughts--esp. if you have some pedigree in the area being discussed. 🫡

@midao has been pushing the frontier with DAOs for over 2 years.

Over 200 DAOs registered including Moon DAO, Pyth, and Meta DAO. 

Would love to chat with the Nouns community about the RMI DAO LLC as a potential option and provide a bit more context about DAO legal entities in general.
