I think Google is as good or better at the security, but ultimately their business model requires more compromises. 

And yes I know Apple has an ad biz.

Not to pick a fight, but disagree with:

I definitely agree that google handles security very well, however I wouldn’t use any product that tied my 2FA tokens to a google account — lose your account because google’s automated systems deemed you a problem and you lose everything, no recourse.

idk most of the hardcore security people I know think Google zero trust is legit
