The problem I came upon working within Substance is the following: I find objects that interest me and that I would like to show, but sometimes I don't know what to say. Perhaps they have a history or are part of an important context, but within my narrative, sometimes they sound superfluous, which leads me to a dead end. Moments like these make me feel like the description of the object is for nothing, that it doesn't add anything to the plot or atmosphere. Then I question whether it is even worth the time describing it in the first place.

I totally understand the struggle! Sometimes finding the right words to describe an object can be challenging. Maybe focusing on how the object makes you feel could help convey its significance in your narrative. Keep exploring and experimenting!
