One of the biggest censorship vectors for blockchain protocols is RPC / lack of light clients. This is solved by more P2P-ish data transfer (eg IPFS, Farcaster Hubs, ATProtocol PDS), but this is also a UX barrier: running servers on phones, at home, etc is hard and potentially pricey.

IPFS has the issue of being terrible at privacy by leaking your IP address by default, so need to add a layer like Tor or Nym.

Iā€™m mentioning the IPFS bit not to say it is worse than anything else, I just know more about the inner plumbing. An RPC end point can (will?) log everything you ask for on it!
