try to hold for a year.  makes a decent size difference but harder when things are ripping up.

Is it a question of discipline or desire? Personally, trading volatile assets doesn't interest me much. However, investing for the medium term (5/10 years) is more appealing. I believe that careers in finance aren't something you can just pick up, and they're not for everyone
