Has anyone encountered a weird thing where journalists or investors (allegedly) reach out to you wanting to schedule a call on Zoom? And they insist on only using Zoom? Is this a scam? How does it work?

yeah it’s a scam, they will talk you into another app, where you install a trojan to extract your wallets

Yes, major scam tactic. Here's a thread about it: https://x.com/nft_dreww/status/1815356247010320757?t=3NclbZxfGlvknCLnrgpapQ&s=19

Yes, I guess they move to zoom now? I was approached by someone but started to look fishy when they were adamant that I use a similar app to zoom for the call … I declined to then find out they were using the other app to get access to one’s computer. Who will come w the app to identified scammers and put them on blast?
