afraid to lose my streak so here’s some lifestyle slop from a happy weekend. who else loves harry potter?

I used to have no strong opinions about Harry Potter but I only read up to book 4 and walked out of the 6th movie cuz the edible hit WAY too hard. Nowadays I've heard some valid critiques of the books. 1 was the portrayal of Cho Chang (the only Chinese character) being a backstabber reinforcing anti-Chinese stereotypes, and 2 was the focus on violence as a means to maintain control over others. I don't see a lot of critiques of the series but a lot of people really pissed at JK for leaning hard into trans-exclusionary feminism. I'm open to any counterpoints but I know that's not a very weekend thing to do.
