Polygon will rebrand the MATIC token The Polygon team has announced that it will conduct a 1:1 conversion of the native MATIC token to POL on September 4, 2024. The coin will become the primary coin for gas tolls and steaking fees. For MATIC hodlers on the Polygon PoS network, the transition will happen automatically. However, those who hold the asset in Ethereum, Polygon zkEVM networks and various centralized exchanges will need to follow certain migration procedures
