Finished Catcher in the Rye last night. First half didn’t really do it for me but wow second half was some of the best stuff I’ve ever read

Thank you for assuming all of this within the replies of MY own post! But yes, I do probably have weak shins. But @alor is also right, shin splints are usually down to overtraining too. I used to get some shin pain in both legs last year and then bought new shoes, did the tricks and fixed me good as new. But now just some pain in the right leg! Either way, I’m taking a break from running and working on some shin strength at the gym

I think that’s probably a good idea, I’m definitely going to try and up the step count for now to at least keep active. Others have suggested swimming to keep up the cardio without the strain on the legs

I think you’re definitely not supposed to continue – everything I’ve read/heard has said to just stop for 2 weeks or so, or reduce mileage

Anyone got any advice on shin splints? I ran a week ago and had a little bit of pain for the first 2kms and then it went away - but today from 2km on it was awful and had to stop. Worst I’ve ever had and only in my lower right leg. Any tips?

Wait I’m confused, can’t you just hit “option, shift and “-“? Or if on mobile hold down “-“ and get other options?

Cutting disability benefits by billions – just down right detestable. I understand we need to save money but cutting the livelihood of the most vulnerable people in society is an abhorrent way to do so.

Cutting the winter fuel allowance for over 60s was the same, a policy without a significant return and a very significant backlash.

Gaza is under its worst conditions yet and we continue to support the genocidal IDF with arms and spying and more than 1 in 3 children are in poverty in the UK.

The economic policy so far under this Government has made little to no sense at all – prioritising political wins like VAT on private schools and inheritance tax for farm land owners (both of which are positive changes but are not lucrative for tax revenue and have angered many).
