I think the vast majority of people want to be seen and the current algo hides that majority from any kind of popular channel or post. 

Since Dan has Priority mode on, he only sees a minority and not the people who disagree with his algo. Easy to say everyone agrees when you ignore or hide any objections.

I wish the focus of the algo would be surfacing content that you would like from people you follow -and- don’t follow, instead of pushing posts on your feed/channel view that only show because someone had a power badge and make discovering new people you might enjoy interacting with nearly impossible organically.
