Sources in Ukraine near the front line tell me that Maxar satellite imagery and other basic intelligence sharing has been shut off by the U.S. abruptly. Russia has exploited this by massive ramping up airstrikes that Ukrainian air defenses are now unable to effectively counter.

I come from a city near the border with Ukraine (I am from Russia) and I can tell you with confidence that this is the stupidest war, 80% of Russians have Ukrainian roots and relatives in Ukraine. When will these "rulers" have had enough of playing war and sit down at the negotiating table. The losses are too great for both sides, no matter what anyone says.

That’s good to hear. But here’s my next question: Do you agree that ordinary russians have a choice, not to go to a foreign country and kill people (they could choose prison instead), yet they are still choosing to go and kill innocent people? So it’s not just about the government; it’s about russian society as a whole, which sees killing Ukrainians as acceptable. Do you agree that many russians are cheering for this war on social media, supporting every attack on Telegram and other platforms? After all these years, it’s clear, it’s not just Putin, it’s russians. And would be nice to hear people speaking up about that instead of “both sides suffer” victim talk.
