Paying with crypto in the real world. I am doing it. It's my main payment method for 2+ years. There are other options but my emphasis is on: - Full control over my funds - Keeping it cost efficient - Supporting DeFi builders Here we go. 1/8

Crypto debit card You want a card which is self-custodial, meaning you can top it up directly from a web3 wallet. Any and all CEX wallets are therefore disqualified. There are quite a few options by now: - @holyheld - monolith - gnosispay - Fiat24 2/8

I was a Monolith user for over a year, but as it's being sun-setted an alternative had to be found. I opted for Holyheld: - It's cheap 0.25% top up (0.75% - 0.50% cashback) - Top up on several L2's with any ERC20 - Good mobile app and UX - Good customer support - Innovative 3/8

Top up the card I estimate my monthly expenses and then top up my card from @Rabby_io on ETH mainnet. This tx costs about $5 at 20 gwei If I need to add funds, I pull the yield from one of my L2 farms. Gas cost is <$1 and any ERC20 can be used! Gassles top up is coming 👀 4/8

Send money to your Bank. I use this when I need to pay for expenses in my home country. These txs cost 1 EUR and arrive after 2hrs - 24hrs. Never had any issues. If you wire 500 EUR that is an offramp fee of <1%. 0.75% top up + 1 EUR. 5/8

Cash out The ATM withdrawal fee is EUR 0.90 (domestic) and 1.5%+1.5 UR (abroad). That is in line with neobanks. If you need to go over the withdrawal limit, you can top up your Revolut card with your Holyheld card at 0 fees. 6/8
