The ability to convert existing photos in a single line, no prompt massaging. Also that Midjourney is still associated with Discord for many people—despite having a web app now.

You’re right in that it’s been mostly doable via apps like Magnific or EverArt (the best style transfer apps I’ve found). However, they required a good amount of effort and for some (EverArt) providing 20-50. To add to the discussion, ChatGPT is indeed easier but imho it’s the accuracy that has really resonated with ppl.
