■ Setting up a recession: Interest rate curve and benchmark interest rate If there was a short-term interest rate inversion and a frozen base rate at the same time, The United States was headed toward a recession. And the FED is cutting interest rates, When the interest rate inversion is resolved, It was on the verge of a recession or crash. The current market is similar to the summer of 2007. It won't be any different.
