Even further, everything she has ever written. š All the HP movies are just as shite. And the books, Iām embarrassed as all hell to see adults watching or talking about any of it seriously. Itās a childrenās book and movie series. If youāre an adult, find something else worth your time. š«”šæ

Agree to disagree. Iām proud that Harry Potter shaped who I am today. It started with my mom reading it to my siblings + me during bedtime, and continued into a coming-of-age guide about belonging, fighting evil, experiencing loss, etc. AND it was one of the first books where it was actually cool to be a smart girl

Thatās great you had that experienceāI read maybe 1 thru 4 as a kid. My problem comes with people clinging onto these things that helped them as children, expecting them to still be of any useāif someone hasnāt actively cultured a taste for new things throughout their life something is fundamentally wrong.

True about anything, and I try not to generalize based on extremists. The values and principles we learn from Harry Potter arenāt that different from those we learn in the Bible and other religions: respect, kindness, empathy, tolerance, defending those who canāt defend themselves, love triumphs over evil, etc.
