What’s the first principles reasoning for why Apple TV is a thing? Moreso from a content perspective than the hardware perspective.

The content is more known as AppleTV+ The hardware is known as AppleTV Dunno the why on a lot of it, but I assume much of the why is so many other established players were also entering the space and so streaming was seen as a colonizing opp for home entertainment.
