Biggest thing holding onchain music back (and music in general) is anytime someone tries something new people find ways to shoot it down because it doesn't directly benefit them.

There's such a scarcity mentality around music that it's no surprise most people don't consider it to have value.

I don’t think people think music has no value. Quite the opposite. 

But as someone mentioned - why pay for this one and not the other one 🤷‍♂️ 

Also, onchain music experience is not on par with streaming. And while I really like ideas like collectors feeds and leaderboards to share but it for nerds only

Any thoughts on how to improve this or make it feel more compelling/exciting?

I have my hypothesis - obviously far from perfect since it’s not my area of expertise but I think bright future is hidden in the right combo of 3 pillars of highlighting/rewarding 

- collectors/patrons more than artists 
- artists more than Songs 
- micro payments both ways 
- gifting both ways
