It was a surprise for me when I discussed pasta with my Italian friend. She opened the kitchen drawer and demonstrated me types of pastas she had (many! for the soup, pasta, or just a garnish etc). And yes, it’s not about stereotypes, we really came to the conclusion that the structure and form of pasta (and ingredients that are “stuck” in it while cooking) affects different areas of tongue which leads to different tasting. Share your thoughts on this if that’s true/not true.
