Don’t be afraid to build with radical transparency. 

When @netnose and I realized that a dune query bug had been giving BETR Believer perks to a number of people who weren’t holding the requisite 50M $BETR, we discussed and decided the only fair thing to do was to correct the list and manually adjust the daily points multipliers for the leaderboard going back to day one. 

It never feels great to boot people from a private chat or revoke perks and leaderboard points, but that seemed like the right path here in order to avoid diluting the rewards for those who were doing their part to HODL and support @betrmint since the beginning. 

In the end, nobody rioted. Everyone understood the mixup, and mostly just appreciated the candid communication. 

$BETR was trending for mindshare on @tomu’s Checkr app yesterday and token price was up 50% on the day. Building in public is based.

On Friday, @rachelw and I released this short video about veil dot cash on @betrmint and gave out $500 worth of $VEIL as part of the prize pool for the round. 

Two days later, that $VEIL is worth about $2500. 

Doesn’t get any $BETR than that.

A quick update about @betrmint:

Earlier today, a very honest person reached out to me to confess that he still had access to the BETR Believers chat (a chat token gated by 50M $BETR) although he had actually sold his tokens. 

@netnose looked into it and found that due to a bugged Dune query, there were a number of people who had previously held 50M $BETR and sold them at some point, but were still enjoying the perks. 

On learning this, we’ve done a few things:

1) we gave this individual 50M $BETR as a thank you / bug bounty 
2) we fixed the Dune query and @netnose is going through the manual process of correcting the daily multipliers for the leaderboard.  
3) we messaged the BETR Believers chat to explain the discovery and give 24H notice, after which anyone who still didn’t hold the required tokens would be removed from the group (and would no longer receive the early round notifications + access to 25x mini jackpots.)
