Related: the single biggest UX blocker for most consumer apps that are hoping to "onboard normies" in the upcoming cycle is fiat-to-crypto onramp. In-app purchases work for small $ and targeted use cases, but getting $100 in a wallet that's deeply integrated with the apps driving the core onchain behaviors is the actual hard thing. On-ramps require KYC, which is a huge source of drop-off. Why Coinbase has such a big advantage with 100M+ KYC'd accounts.

I think @woj.eth is right here i don't label them as Airdrops though, rather Rewards (Airdrops are free money for doing nothing, whereas Rewards are for stuff like engagement and building things that contribute to the development and growth of the network) -- but same sentiment

I ~think~ I fully understand, but I wanna make sure I get this right How do you think about bootstrapping a token ecosystem and value (take @moxie.eth for example) simply by starting to issue When you started building, what was the key first thesis/understanding that made you confident that people would start to place financial value in Moxie? I’ve always wanted to make sure I fully understood how bootstrapping token ecosystems worked and you’re the perfect person to ask @woj.eth and @dwr.eth also if they have perspective
