The language Niklas used yesterday was completely unacceptable and does not align with Moxie values. Moxie unequivocally condemns it. Niklas has stepped down as a Moxie Hero. Since most of Farcaster is likely to read this cast, I want to take this moment to once again call on everyone to please lower the volume and communicate respectfully and civilly. Over the past couple of weeks we’ve seen memes with faces on graves, guns pointed at heads, entire groups who have made it a sport to attack others, inflammatory and inappropriate language about other members – it all needs to stop. We’re better than this. One of the joys of Farcaster has been that it's a safe haven from the trolling on Twitter/X. It would be a shame to lose that. If someone is bullying you or using inflammatory or offensive language: mute or block them, and report their account to Warpcast. Blocked accounts do not earn Moxie from you, nor can they give you moxie. Banned accounts can no longer participate in Moxie.

Dude this Mr-silverback account has been an inflammatory and sketchy account for like a half year or more now, it’s almost like there was no due diligence at all for y’all’s hero selection That account has embodied the modern Twitter vibe for many moons now, it’s insane to me that it just slipped through the cracks on your selection process like that

i could not agree more with this jason. i (mostly) left twitter to come here because it is a fun place to be and to build in. I want us to be better here than over there. i'll also share that people have shared that they thought i was a bot bc i really try to be kind and respond to people in a positive way. you'll always see me wishing them a great day, asking them how it's going or seeing how i can help bc the smallest thing can brighten someone's day. that is the type of community i want to be in.

I was certainly disappointed and confused because I believed in my project, but I wouldn't allow myself to write such things. The supportive community is what we have that's strongest here, and it doesn't exist anywhere else. I have always fought to maintain a positive environment here, and I will take the time I need to come back even stronger. 💪

Sorry, that doesn't cut it for me... as I said yesterday, I was not looking for Niklas to step down - I was looking for your team to take action. Instead, you're using the past tense, and making it clear that this was the bully's choice: "Niklas has stepped down" Also, as you noted, you have the power to do more - including to ban accounts. You have previously alluded to having the ability to "jail" them - the same effect, but more temporary. I haven't seen guns or graves here, but if you think this is a "safe space," well... let's say there's a few other names on your list of "Heroes" that give me pause. And that's the tip of the iceberg - this is revealing some serious problematic implications of the latest tweaks to the $Moxie protocol - including that many people no longer have the ability to sell or burn the Fan Tokens of a those whose actions don't align to our shared value - because they were incentivized to lock them, and thus have lost control. Hope you will give an option to solve that.

Good call, stepping down. Side note. Memes are what, in many ways, drive this space and are a huge part of a large part of society. The meme you directly call out with a gun pointed to someone's head is a meme that had been used for years; I think you potentially misconstrue the meaning behind it. I would suggest there is no ill will or direct harm implied/meant by the use of this meme.
