i was listening to a non-farcaster maxi talk on a spaces this week about his experience here and it really hit me how much we tend to be in a blissful little vacuum here. it's a delicate balance, but agree with this take.

would be curious to see how this type of marketing/growth can be done from outside of warpcast/merkle themselves and let the beauty of decentralization shine the super cool part of farcaster's growth is how organic so much of it has been & with the right incentives i think this can continue to happen

Web3/crypto wisdom would say this is the whole industryโ€™s issue save for a few outliers As a counter โ€œguessโ€ as to the why itโ€™s a pretty lean team who may not want the incentives of biz dev/brand influencing p&e decisions As we make our way up the early part of this potential s-curve maybe incentives shift?

@dwr.eth I agree with Ben here. One of the biggest blunders I saw with web3 companies was the missing bridge between the 2 ecosystems. Hire natives to onboard masses. Bridge the gap. Let's connect the tech with the right people. Hire the people who know the target. Ben and I will work for degen.

Disagree with this take. Putting significant energy into marketing & resources towards that when the foundation isnโ€™t ready to support it makes no sense. Increased DAU is nice; qDAU is much better. And that takes time. I donโ€™t need more bots following me. Just engaged humans.

One other point re: storytelling โ€” this is already happening but in a decentralized way. The missionaries are doing the work as well as @dwr.eth himself. The fact that so many people are putting full time energy into building on/in Farcaster on their own (not paid by Merkel) is quite telling. eg: /gmfarcaster
