One of the first things i learned as a founder of a web3 media company is that the work never stops because news is always pumping. I'm based in APAC so I had easy access to local news that Americans wanted, but also had first pick of the morning scoops from the west because I have the Internet. That meant that on my little lonesome, I needed to find the right thing to publish from a batch of scoops every day.and make it good. This honed my skills to sniff out a story on the fly, but led to other issues. The conflict of interests between needing content for the day to push out asap and realizing half way through running down a story that some friends might get friendly fire from me became a constant pressure. These things matter in the long run more than the short term but if you burn your friends trying to find the right scoop on a busy news day and not piss off a sponsor or partner, your decision making abilities on your heels must be on point. Publish what you want, at your own risk.

I founded a news company in 2018. Broke a ton of stories about Korea and Asia in crypto. I learned a lot about what it means to own an IP and maintain a brand image and - and this is probably most important - how the crypto media game is played. I'm gonna try this Streaks thing by sharing a lesson each day for anyone interested in smalltime crypto media, viral posts, and getting by in this topsy turvy world.
