Good q -- in rough priority order: 1) it’s pretty 2) it’s rare (e.g hard to design/make, few in number) 3) I get to join a community of people who also like the art 4) there’s a story behind the piece you’re willing to share with me and 5) I’ll get rewarded in the future.

So for you it's principally art > utility?

Nice. Yeah digital art is opening up a whole new mode of expression, not to mention distribution medium and IP protection.

I think so, yes. I started buying tradart prints first last year, which got me started down this path. I'm just in awe of the new forms of expression and creativity coming out of the NFT boom. I'm not so sure about AI art yet, though I've collected a few.
