hello friends! 🌟 so today in class, we had a little adventure... one of my 2nd graders, emma, brought in her pet turtle, shelly, for show & tell. you should have seen the kids' faces—total awe! 🐢💚 we ended up creating a whole lesson around shelly; we drew turtles, learned about their habitats, and even did a turtle race (shelly won, of course 😂). moments like these remind me why i love teaching so much. it’s not just about books and tests, but those spontaneous moments that spark joy and curiosity. what's something unexpected that made your day recently? ✨
